Curious what Eastlake High School is really like? Our small, charter high school is all about helping you create a high school experience that works for you, supports you and gets you to your goals on time. Here are 10 reasons you’ll say attending Eastlake High School is the best decision you ever made:
1. Fewer Credit Hours Required to Graduate
We get it–you don’t want to take classes that aren’t useful for you now and your future. That’s why we require fewer credit hours to graduate than traditional high schools. We maximize your time at school by tailoring your schedule to the most relevant classes for your goals and we don’t waste your time.
2. Personalized Learning
The minute you walk through our doors, we begin getting to know you and your goals, dreams and challenges. Together, we design a high school education that supports your learning needs as you work towards your diploma. Everyone learns differently and our staff is skilled at helping you learn in a way that makes it lasting and real.
3. Graduate When You’re Ready
No need to wait until June. If you want to graduate early, mid-year or after you complete a few college courses, you can do that at Eastlake. We hold graduation ceremonies twice a year because we know how important that cap and gown photo is!
4. 100% Fee Free
Tuition, supplies, lunch, books and transportation at Eastlake High School are completely covered when you enroll. We do everything we can to remove financial barriers to your future, whether it’s clothing to attend an interview or food for your family. We are here to help.
5. Flexibility to Go Your Own Way
We know you have a lot to juggle–school is just one of the things you are trying to balance and complete. We offer flexibility in the what, how and when of your education, meaning you can pick a path that suits your needs and your schedule. Worried about picking the wrong path? You can change that, too.
6. Multiple Pathways to Your Diploma
We offer multiple pathways to graduation depending on your interests and goals. Our get-to-know-you process includes a career aptitude test, so we can help you identify your strengths. Whether you are interested in vocational training, joining the military or workforce after graduation or preparing for college entrance, we have something for everyone.
7. Community is #1 (and in this case #7)
Learning doesn’t happen alone. We pride ourselves on our inclusive and active community. We lean on each other, cheer each other on, and have fun together. Eastlake High School is much more than a school building–we consider ourselves a family. We think you’ll like it here, too.
8. Small Classes and 1:1 Support
With our small class sizes, no one slips through the cracks. Guidance from a caring teacher or staff member is just a question away and our after-hours tutor, available 3x per week for 3 hours a night, is one of our most beloved and flexible features.
9. Get Credit for Your Work Experience
We believe in practical, hands-on, real world experience. That’s why we give you credit for 300 hours of work or volunteer experience towards your graduation requirements. Whether you come to us with a job already lined up, or we help you connect with a community agency to volunteer, you can use those hours to help you graduate.
10. Unwavering Support
We’ve got your back. From help on an assignment, to family support and tackling big questions, Eastlake’s dedicated staff is here to provide you with the resources and care to get you on the right path toward your bright future.
