Working Student? It’s All Possible at EHS.

There has never been a better time to be a working student.

As we slowly emerge from a global pandemic that rocked our world, we are finding an unexpected change: a wealth of employment opportunities that didn’t exist pre-pandemic.

You may find yourself wanting to take advantage of this opportunity, or maybe you’ve had a job for a while, but aren’t sure how to also fit in that dream of achieving your high school diploma. It might feel like too much to try to juggle it all.

Eastlake High School (EHS) has been supporting working students for years. Our flexible schedules, meaningful 1:1 support, and ability to adjust to whatever life throws your way is something hundreds of students before you have come to rely on as they made their diploma-earning dreams come true.

We know a few things about supporting working students, which is why you’ll find our programs are designed to give you more control over the when and where of your learning. If your work schedule is demanding, Eastlake High School offers hybrid learning designed for students who have limited ability to attend in-person classes. You’ll be able to take a mix of in-person and fully online courses, allowing you to work and go to school on your schedule.

In addition to hybrid learning, we offer the opportunity to go at your own pace. Our school year is longer, providing you the time to complete learning during the summer months and on the weekends. And, you can graduate when you complete your courses—no need to wait for June.

Did we mention our after-hours tutor? 3x per week for 3 hours per night you can work with our tutor to make sure you are on the right track with your classes. Never miss a lesson because you are working during the day.

When you enroll at Eastlake High School you’ll be able to take both high school and college classes at the same time at Pikes Peak Community College (soon to be Pikes Peak State College). Fast track your education, carve out time for work, and complete both your diploma and degree in a shorter amount of time, getting you out into the career world sooner.

EHS students work with our dedicated staff who learn about your needs and help you create a flexible educational plan that will work around your changing schedule each semester. Our teachers care about the demands in your life and are here to support you on your way to graduation and a bright career.

We help you search for a job, write a resume that will get you noticed and polish your interview skills. Need clothes for an interview? We’ve got you covered with our Community Closet so you can present your professional side. We also provide bus fare to get you to your interview. We mean it when we say we are a tuition-free, fee-free high school

And finally, don’t forget the best part: Your job counts toward your high school credit requirements! We make it easy to go to school, work, and get credit for your real-world experience.

Eastlake High School is here to meet your needs as a working student who is trying to do it all and have it all. Consider us your biggest cheerleaders: we’re saving you a spot for Fall ’22 now
