What if my grades aren’t great?
We recognize that transcripts and test scores aren’t the only indicator of a student’s ability. At Eastlake, you are more than a number or a face in a crowd. We get to know you and all that makes you who you are. Together we discuss your dreams, strengths and areas to improve. We use our own set of assessments that are tailored to finding out where you are and put you on the path you need.
One-size-fits-all may work for clothes, but it definitely doesn’t work in education. Bring us your IEP or your demanding work schedule and let us show you how we can support your unique learning style. This is personalized education at its best.
If you’re searching for credits to get your diploma, we enroll all year long making it easy to start at the perfect time for you. You can also graduate when you’ve completed all your coursework—no need to wait until June. We hold graduation ceremonies twice a year so you can wow your family as you walk across the stage.
What if I can’t find the time?
If life has gotten in the way of your education, we can help get you back on track with our highly flexible curriculum. The pandemic threw a wrench in many people’s plans and changed our daily lives. If your schedule now requires greater flexibility, Eastlake can work with you. We offer hybrid and in-person classes, as well as after-hours tutoring. Self-paced summer learning is also available.
One of our graduation requirements is 150-300 hours of work or volunteer experience, which means you can earn credit for the job you currently have or are seeking. That’s right—you can gain practical experience, or get paid, and get credits at the same time!
What if I’m not sure what I want to do?
All students at Eastlake take a career aptitude test to help identify the particular skills and interests you have that can help you find a successful career. Through conversations with our caring staff, we’ll evaluate where you are and where you hope to be. Our 1-on-1 support is one of our greatest assets.
The path to graduation isn’t always a straight line. The reality of life – the ups and downs and the twists and turns – often creates barriers on the way to graduation day. Eastlake High School’s mission is to remove those barriers so a diploma is attainable, flexible and more personalized to you.
