Come As You Are

Come on in, our doors are open! At Eastlake High School, there are no prerequisites, no admissions tests, and no tuition. We welcome and celebrate each unique individual who walks through our doors and we embrace everyone for who they are now and who they hope to be in the future. Every person at our school is encouraged to boldly and bravely be their best self!

Getting to Know You

At Eastlake High School (EHS), we are focused on you — our students. That focus isn’t just on what did or didn’t happen for you in your academic journey before joining us. That focus isn’t only targeting where you are now. Our focus on each student as an individual means we recognize who you were, who you are and what matters to you going forward. What do you want for your future?

Soon after you enroll, we’ll help you explore your interests for the future. You’ll take a career aptitude test to uncover your strengths. You’ll talk with one of our caring staff members to make a plan for how and when you plan to graduate and what pathway suits your interests and goals. We make time to understand you, as an individual, so that you’ll feel how much you belong here.

There’s no need to have it all figured out before you arrive, we’ll help. And if along the way you decide to change paths or course correct, we’ll help you with that, too. After all, this is your life and your future.

You Belong Here

Our inclusionary vision for our community is modeled by our staff and put into action each and every day by our students. Our bright and tenacious students know that they are safe to express their cultural, gender, racial, and sexual identities because they will be celebrated for who they are. Our diverse student body creates opportunities for open, authentic self-reflection as we take time to explore who we are and get to know each other.

If who you are right now is a working student or a parent, or even both, we’ve designed our school to not only meet your demanding schedule, but we also understand the challenges you face and hard work you are putting in. We see the hard choices you sometimes have to make, and the strength of your character to keep going.

To cater to your interests and have a little fun, we’ve built into our curriculum popular elective classes. Every June, we spend 3 weeks in exploration classes that cover a huge variety of topics. Curious about forensic science? We’ve got an elective for that. Want to take a deeper dive into how documentaries are made? We can do that. Everything from real-world math application to sports in the park and even hair and nails tech has been taught as a credit-earning elective at Eastlake.

Looking for a club to join? We’ve got a little something for everyone, from Comic Con fans to the Gender Sexuality Alliance Club, E-Sports and even a Current Events Club where we discuss relevant issues and provide time for students to ask questions and express their feelings in a safe, inclusive space. If there is a part of you looking for a place to call home, you can find it here.

Unwavering Support for Mental Health

We know that high school is a time of great change and that you face challenges. At Eastlake, you won’t have to navigate those things alone. Mental health support for all students and staff is at the top of our list. It’s not difficult to find an open door, a listening ear or a caring heart at our school. Our Family Advocacy Program is always here to pick you up when you need an extra hand.

This year, Eastlake High School students were some of the first in Colorado to test drive the NOD app for mental health. We were one of 8 Colorado schools chosen to pilot the program that was originally designed for college students but is making great strides with high schoolers, as well. Our students are loving the NOD app that helps students develop skills to build meaningful social connections to boost emotional well-being.

Our community at Eastlake High School affirms who you are and provides the support for who you want to be. We embrace our differences and similarities, experiences, and personality traits that define ourselves as our greatest asset. Come as you are–you belong here!
