Asychronous Learning Day

An asynchronous learning day is a day when students engage in independent learning activities without real-time, face-to-face instruction from their teachers. Instead of attending classes in a traditional synchronous manner, students will have the opportunity to work through assignments, projects, and learning materials at their own pace and schedule from home.

During an asynchronous learning day, students will have access to digital resources, such as online modules, videos, and readings,which will guide them through the learning material for the day. They will be provided with clear instructions, objectives, and any necessary resources to complete the assigned tasks.

The purpose of incorporating asynchronous learning days into our curriculum is to offer flexibility and promote independent learning skills. It allows students to take ownership of their learning and develop essential time management and self-discipline skills, which are valuable for their academic and future endeavors.

On asynchronous learning days, teachers will be available to support and guide students through various communication channels, such as email, online discussion boards, or designated office hours. They will respond to questions, provide clarification, and offer assistance as needed. However, please note that teachers may not be available for immediate response during the entire school day, as they will also be working with other students and planning future lessons.

To ensure a successful asynchronous learning day, we kindly request the following from parents and students:

1. Establish a dedicated learning environment: Encourage your child to create a quiet, organized space where they can focus on their assignments without distractions.

2. Create a schedule: Help your child establish a daily schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject or task. This will assist them in managing their time effectively and staying on track.

3. Stay connected: Encourage your child to reach out to their teachers if they have any questions or need additional support. Teachers will be available during designated times to provide guidance and assistance.

4. Complete assignments on time: It is crucial for students to complete and submit their assignments by the designated deadlines to ensure a consistent learning experience.
