My name is Ms. Phoebe and I am in my second year here at Eastlake High School. I started at EHS as a paraprofessional and was offered the position of English teacher! I am a graduate from UCCS, and with the help of two scholarships I obtained a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Leadership and a Minor in Human Services.

I started my education career path in 2018 at the Colorado International Language Academy as a substitute teacher. From there I worked as a mentor for adults with disabilities that led me to the Special Education department in Bibb County Georgia. I later went on to Crawford County Board of Education as Federal Programs Assistant. I chose to become an educator because growing up I did not have teachers who would take the time to work with me to become successful in the classroom and it really hindered the way I learned, so I wanted to be someone my students could count on, relate to, and trust as a teacher/mentor.

I am from the south, a wonderful place called Macon Georgia where we played outside till the streetlamps came on, drank from the water spicket, and played kick the can till our toe's bleed. Yes, football is a way of life in the south and I am a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan, I bleed black and red, GO DAWGS! When I am not teaching English, we do have lives, I play competitive softball and I love going to concerts with my son who attends Sand Creek High School as a first-year student. Did I mention that I love taking long walks to the fridge at 3am for a little snacky snack? Well, now you know. I just wanted to say that I am very much looking forward to this new school year and teaching your kids the fine art of English.
